Magazine Makers

a visiting program for students in grades 3, 4 and 5

Magazines are fun to read—and even more fun to make! Artists, graphic designers, writers, and editors work together to create magazines. In this program, students sample each job as they create an uncorrected proof, a magazine page that still needs corrections before it is printed. They’ll leave with a page that includes their own art, nonfiction writing, and editing, as well as an understanding that making polished publications takes both time and teamwork.

Program length*: 90 minutes

Participant limit: one class/program

Rate: $350/program

* Program length/duration can be specialized!
